Siemens Foundation Scholarships and AP Awards  for high school students who are willing to challenge themselves through science research. Through this competition, students have an opportunity to achieve national recognition for science research projects that they complete in high school. Deadline: Oct 3

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship  provides financial assistance to students in the State of California who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education.  Deadline: Oct. 15

Coca-Cola Two Year Colleges Scholarship Program — Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA plus 100 hours of community service and school involvement, leadership and student employment considered—looking for the “well-rounded” student. Deadline Oct 31

Voice of Democracy Scholarship.  $25,000.  It is an annual national audio essay contest to foster patriotism.  Deadline November 1.

Target : All-Around Scholarships: recognizes volunteer work as well as academic achievement. The scholarship to a high school senior and college student age 24 or younger. Deadline is November 1.

Make It Yourself with Wool Contest Garments must be made with 100% wool or blend specialty fiber yarn or fabric. Deadline is Nov. 15

AXA Scholarship Program: AXA Achievers, share these qualities: ambition and drive; determination to set and achieve goals; respect for themselves, family and community; and the ability to succeed in college. Deadline Dec. 15

Veteran's Tribute Scholarship: The Veterans' Tribute Scholarship is available to children and grandchildren, ages 15 through 18, of all U.S. military veterans, active duty, Reserves and National Guard. Deadline December 31.

California Farm Bureau Scholarship Application Instructions - The scholarships are awarded annually based upon academic achievement, career goals, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and a commitment to study agriculture.
