“When parents are involved, students get better grades, score higher on achievement tests, attend school more regularly, drop out less often, and have higher personal aspirations.”  (Henderson, A.T. & Mapp, K. L. (2002). A new wave of evidence: The impact of school, family, and community connections on student achievement, Austin, TX, National Center for Family & Community Connections with Schools.)

We want to encourage staff and parents to be involved by serving on committees. Woodland Christian School will have two types of committees; advisory and service. Advisory committees are selected by the School Board and provide valuable advice needed to make sound decisions. Service committees are comprised of volunteers who want to serve the school with their time and talent.

The following is a brief summary of what each committee will do. More committees and/or more duties may be added as time goes on. You will be encouraged to sign up for a committee; if you are interested in serving on an advisory committee, please contact one of the school board members. To view in PDF, click here.
