Background and Coaching Experience:

Coach Boney played volleyball competitively in the Air Force for twelve years.  He began coaching at WCMS five years ago while his daughter, WCHS Junior Kelijo Boney, was in the sixth grade.  He has served as an assistant on Kelijo’s teams as well as his younger daughter Hannah Boney’s teams and coached was the Head Coach of Team Spikers 15/16 Club Power Team in 2007.  Coach Boney is an Impact certified volleyball coach. 

Coaching Philosophy and Goals:

Coach Boney believes in sports as a way to maximize God-given ability to represent and bring attention to Christ on field/court of play.  With a young team to work with, he hopes to build skills and an understanding of offensive and defensive assignments.  The team will focus on a different scripture each week and try to embody that during practice and competition.  Through the entire experience Coach Boney wants to make sure the girls enjoy the experience, have fun and work hard.
