Woodlander Brandon Wehman, a 2003 graduate of Woodland Christian High School and a business major at California State University Montery Bay, has been named to the university's Honors Program. The university will recognize graduating seniors at the Honors Convocation ceremony on April 26, 2008. Academic Honors are awarded to students achieving an overall grade-point average of 3.5 and higher, and are based on completion of at least three semesters in residence at CSUMB. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Dustin D. Emmons has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Emmons is a 2007 graduate of Woodland Christian High School and is the son of Adrina and Greg Weicher of Woodland. (The Daily Democrat, Sunday, April 13, 2008)

Beth Perkins, a 2006 graduate of Woodland Christian High School, recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at San Francisco State next fall.
Perkins was a two-time All-Conference outside hitter for the past two seasons at Mt. Hood Community College and earned Second Team All-American status and was the conference Most Valuable Player. Perkins also played basketball at Mt. Hood. She was a two-time league MVP while at Woodland Christian and will major in education while at San Francisco State in the fall. The Gators are affiliated with the NCAA Division II and plays in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The upcoming season will mark the first year the Gators restart their women's volleyball program.
