CASEY NEIMEYER

Athletic Director

As Athletic Director, Casey oversees all WCS sports teams and coaches. Most of our MS and HS students play a sport, so Casey works hard to ensure that our coaches have what they need to mentor as many students as our facilities and staffing can accommodate. Casey selects and mentors coaches, communicates with CIF and league officials, oversees compliance with CIF bylaws, and does anything that needs to be done to make WCS athletics something we can be proud of. Casey's office is located in Jack Hamlin Gym, which is convenient because he is the head coach for the varsity boys basketball team.

Casey is a proud member of the WCHS Class of 2005. He then attended the University of the Pacific, where he was a rare two-sport Division I athlete, competing on UOP’s basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from UOP with a B.S. in Sport Pedagogy and lives in Woodland with his wife Amber – also a basketball star at UOP – and their three sons, who attend WCS.

Casey is committed to using his extensive background in athletics to help WCS student-athletes reach their full potential. He firmly believes that the lessons learned through athletics play a vital role in preparing young people for life after high school and college. Casey believes that a successful athletics program is one in which coaches and student-athletes strive for excellence spiritually, academically, and athletically. Casey expects coaches to model integrity, love, and respect, and holds himself to the same standards.

Samantha sorbello

assistant athletic director

Samantha assists the Athletic Director by doing lots of work behind the scenes. She can be found working on spreadsheets, coordinating game times, lining fields, inventorying uniforms, taking photos, mentoring young ladies, and coaching various teams. She is known for her ability to fix anything and enjoys supporting coaches and student-athletes however she can.

Samantha played soccer and ran track and cross country at Menlo-Atherton High School. She then attended UC Davis, where she majored in Religious Studies and participated on UCD’s track-and-field team as a jumper, specializing in the long jump and triple jump. At WCS, Samantha has coached MS and HS track, HS softball, MS soccer, and MS and HS girls basketball. She currently coaches the WCHS girls basketball team with her husband, Shiloh. The Sorbellos have four daughters, all of whom attend WCS.

At UC Davis, Samantha was a student leader of a Christian fellowship called Athletes In Action (“AIA”). She has seen firsthand how God can use athletics to change people’s lives. Samantha finds purpose and joy in helping WCS students maximize their God-given abilities in an environment where they are loved and cared for – whether they warm the bench or have the talent and desire to play at the next level.
